Grayscale Floral

This watercolor piece was painted on Arches cold press paper.  I really enjoy experimenting with the saturation of pigment when using a single color of watercolor. There is a beautiful gradient created by manipulating the amount of water held on the brush to dilute or intensify the hue of the original color.
